Jewelry Studio Manager
Job Summary:
The Jewelry Studio Manager oversees the daily operations of jewelry manufacturing process. This role involves managing a talented team of jewelers, supporting the design and creation of custom jewelry,
ensuring productivity, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have both a strong technical background in jewelry making and leadership experience in managing and mentoring a team. ABLE is a growing fashion brand with a mission of ending generational poverty by creating economic opportunity for women, both locally and globally. Essential Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and train a team of jewelers, ensuring each team member’s skill set is continually developed
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment
Oversee staff performance, provide feedback, and maintain team morale
Manage the production process from start to finish, ensuring that all jewelry is crafted to high standards
Oversee the design process, ensuring it aligns with client requirements and company quality expectations
Perform hands-on jewelry making as necessary, especially for complex or custom pieces
Ensure adherence to timeframes and deadlines for product completion
Lead quality control testing on all jewelry pieces, ensuring all products meet or exceed industry standards
Conduct test studies to assess the durability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of final products
Continuously evaluate and refine the manufacturing process to improve product quality and consistency
Monitor and optimize the productivity of the jewelry team, ensuring efficient and timely completion of orders
Set clear production goals and implement processes to achieve team and company objectives
Identify bottlenecks in the production process and implement improvements to increase efficiency
Manage material orders and ensure the jewelry team has the necessary supplies to complete projects
Track and maintain an inventory of materials, ensuring optimal stock levels for smooth production without overstocking
Collaborate with suppliers to source the best quality materials at the most competitive prices
Lead initiatives to recycle materials such as metals, stones, and other precious materials to reduce waste
Develop sustainable practices within the jewelry manufacturing process, ensuring eco-friendly approaches to material sourcing and production
Work closely with the design and sales teams to bring new ideas to life and deliver customer satisfaction
Support and collaborate with the marketing team in the promotion and presentation of finished products
Regular and reliable attendance

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s leadership philosophy, policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include leading by example, interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Knowledge & Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Education and/or Experience:
Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3-5 years of
experience in a supervisory or management role within the jewelry industry. Proven experience as a
skilled jeweler with a deep knowledge of jewelry design and manufacturing techniques.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, decimals and percentages.
Language Skills:
Ability to understand, read, write and speak English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general
business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to successfully write reports, business correspondence and policy. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors and the general public.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and correct errors. Ability to understand and interpret basic financial data. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of the facility policies and procedures. Requires ability to identify and implement opportunities to improve performance of the team. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Advanced computer skills (including, but not limited to spreadsheets, word documents, Internet and email) required. Strong proficiency in jewelry-making tools, machinery, and equipment. Excellent leadership, training, and team-building skills. Ability to work with various precious metals, stones, and materials. Familiarity with quality controlm standards and testing methods for finished jewelry. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage both the team and production schedules. Experience with material procurement and inventory management. Understanding of recycling practices in the jewelry manufacturing process. A passion for innovation and attention to detail in design and craftsmanship. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Must be able to travel to work onsite in Nashville and occasionally travel for work or training purposes.
