Attainable Apparel Update: New Sizes are Coming!

We believe every woman should have access to quality pieces that can stay in her wardrobe for years to come. In an effort to ensure all bodies are represented and to help you feel comfortable and confident in our clothing, we are making improvements to our sizing.

We are excited to announce the next phase of our Attainable Apparel: New Sizes!

Here’s everything you need to know:

What are the new sizes?

We plan to eventually have all apparel in sizes XXS–3X. However, we will start rolling out new sizes in phases as we continue to learn and grow. It’s important to us to dress as many bodies within our size offering including heights, shapes, life situations (bumps, nursing etc.) because we believe that’s part of being inclusive, too.

What are your dimensions for 1X, 2X, 3X?

We follow the ASTM standard for grading (an industry standard for measurements and proportions). Our chart below shows XXS–3X dimensions. We intentionally do not label our dimensions in size ranges, as to reduce confusion and empower women to find their true size based on their body.

Do you use fit models for your new sizes?

We use fit models as well as partners in the extended sizing community to help us accurately design and measure for a variety of body types across our size range.

Which pieces are included in new sizing and when do they launch?

We are starting with a few of our best-sellers in our Fall 2021 collection: The Neva Cardigan, Mae Drapey Tee, Agnes Ruched Sleeve Tee and our three graphic tees: Gloria, Nashville, and Vintage Car. These are planned for an early November launch - stay tuned!!

Then in Spring 2022, we will have 68% of our assortment (79 pieces) available in sizes up to 3X.

Why are you rolling out 1X–3X apparel sizes in phases?

We want to do it right and that means being intentional with what we design. It is our ultimate goal to create clothing that fits every body well and that means stair-stepping into it.

We have fast-tracked what we can for Fall 2021 and have thoughtfully approached Spring 2022. We also wanted to ensure we improved our fits and gradings across our current apparel and denim assortments first. To be honest, denim fit is super technical and we needed to first nail that fit in our current sizing. We are working on 'curve' in our denim which will be able to address a lot more bodies than our current fit does.
